Mark Ballas Comforting And Dating

It’s a match made in reality TV heaven! DWTS heartthrob Mark Ballas was spotted with American Idol castoff Pia Toscano this weekend, and reportedly it was a date!

TMZ report, Mark “provided comfort” to Pia and the duo went on a “date” at an L.A. mall Saturday.

The report claims the duo “were both gussied up” as they left Gulfstream restaurant in Century City. She was very surprised by her elimination on Idol as was the rest of the world.

While Pia was working on Idol and where Mark currently works on the set of DWTS happen to be right next door at CBS Television City in L.A and that is how their relationship reportedly began.

It remains unknown who “made the first move,” according to TMZ reports.

Nikki Reed Dating on american Idol

Twilight star Nikki Reed is reportedly dating the American Idol contestant Paul McDonald.

The US actress, who plays Rosalie Hale in the vampire movie series, met the singer at the Red Riding Hood premiere at the beginning of March.

However, at the time, McDonald had no clue who she was and said to the American Idol cameras: 'Was she a famous actress or something? I'd hang out with her!'

According to E! Online, the couple have been seeing each other ever since and have been keeping in contact while Reed films Breaking Dawn by using Skype.

There were also claims that Reed's Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner has been Skyping another American Idol star Lauren Alaina but it's now been reported that's not true.

A source said: 'Taylor has only said hello to some of the Idol contestants when he has been in the same room as Nikki when she has been Skyping with her boyfriend.

'He has not Skyped one-on-one with any of the Idols.'

Lee DeWyze Gives a Performance: 'American Idol'

The season nine winner of 'American Idol' (Thu., 8PM on FOX) has struggled in the sales charts thus far with his debut post-'Idol' album 'Live It Up.' In fact, it premiered with the lowest sales of any prior winner.

After watching Lee DeWyze's performance of "Beautiful Like You" on the stage that made him famous(?), we think he deserves more.

Sure, DeWyze is the third guitar-playing, crooning pretty boy in a row to win the crown, but he showcased a seasoned vocal on this performance that is more than worthy of success. Perhaps he'll experience the 'Idol' bump that most artists get after performing on the show.

'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.

Certainly the show would like to get back to the days when their winners went on to become successful in the music industry. It's been awhile, but it's not been a reflection of the quality of the singers they've been finding. So what is the problem? Can DeWyze turn the tide, or will they have to pin their hopes on this year's winner?
