Raymond Davis Enjoy Immunity

The US government has said that it will provide evidence in a Pakistani court that US national Raymond Davis is entitled to diplomatic immunity. US government would file a petition for Davis’ release in a court on Thursday and provide cause regarding Davis’ diplomatic immunity.

Crowley told, Davis enjoys diplomatic immunity and that he should be released from custody, adding that Washington was building a important partnership with Pakistan and expected Islamabad to enforce the international convention.

“We are building a strategic partnership with Pakistan. We are going to build this relationship for the long term. We respect our international obligations, and we expect other countries, including Pakistan, to do the same.”

Secretary Information Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Fauzia Wahab has said that Raymond Davis accused of murdering two Pakistanis in Lahore. She also said that Pakistan is the signatory of Vienna (capital of Austria ) Convention, so that all the diplomatic personalities enjoy immunity, adding that diplomats cannot be arrested under this convention. She said that Davis possess diplomatic passport, so he enjoys immunity.
