Easter 2011

It hasn’t even snowed yet, well except for that little hail storm Long Island got pelted with a few weeks ago, and many people are wondering: When is Easter 2011?
Also known as the unofficial beginning of spring.
Easter Sunday will fall on April 24, 2011. Yes, folks, that is a long time away, but not too long.
Five months. That’s not too bad right?

Christina Aguilera Pregnant

Christina Aguilera may be in the middle of some serious personal issues but that hasn’t stopped her from keeping up with her career and fulfilling her duties for the release of her new movie Burlesque. Xtina took to the stage at last nights AMAs (American Music Awards) to sing a song from the new flick but it wasn’t the song viewers were interested in – it was (what appeared to be) her growing baby bump.

As soon as Christina finished performing the Internet was swarmed with articles and postings about Christina’s growing figure. I’ve looked all over the Internet and tried to find the latest pics of the blonde beauty.

The first photo is a still-shot from Christina’s performance at last night’s awards. The second and third photos were both taken on November 15. The one with Aguilera in the green dress was taken in the evening during the red carpet event for the premiere of her new movie Burlesque while the photos with Christina in the white was taken earlier that day as Christina left a restuarant after dining with Nicole Richie.

I can’t figure out whether she’s is actually pregnant or just putting on a few breakup pounds. Her stomach does look particulary big in the lower area (which is usually where the bump first appears) in most of the photos and Christina’s usually figure-flattering wardrobe choices seem to have been replaced for baggy, ruched numbers that try and hide her tummy and don’t show off her figure at all (and end up only fuelling the pregnancy rumors).

World's Most Unique Streets and Roads

World's Most Unique Streets and Roads... Must watch & enjoy...

1. World's Shortest Street (Scotland):
Ebenezer Place, in Wick, Caithness, Scotland, is credited as being the world's shortest street in the Guinness Book of Records at 2.06m (6' 9"). There is a single address on the street: the front door of No. 1 Bistro, which is part of Mackays Hotel, which was constructed in 1883. The owner of the building, a hotel at the time, was instructed to paint a name on the shortest side of the hotel. It was officially declared a street in 1887.

2. World's Narrowest Street (Germany):
Spreuerhofstraße is the world's narrowest street, found in the city of Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It ranges from 31 centimetres (12 in) at its narrowest to 50 centimetres (20 in) at its widest. The lane was built in 1727 during the reconstruction efforts after the area was completely destroyed in the massive city-wide fire of 1726 and is officially listed in the Land-Registry Office as City Street Number 77.

3. World's Most Crooked Road (San Francisco):
Lombard Street is the most crooked road in the world and can be found in San Francisco. It is only part of the long Lombard Street and the crooked part can be found on Russian Hill between Hyde and Leavenworth streets. It only measures a quarter or a mile long between these points and the speed limit is only five mph and you can only drive one way in the downward direction. On either side of the street are San Francisco's most expensive houses mansions, town houses and condominiums which are very much sought after.

It was built originally because vehicles could not cope with the 27% gradient so it was suggested that switchbacks of hair pin bends were built thereby making the ascent or descent more manageable. It was also quite difficult for pedestrians to climb as 16% gradient was more manageable.

4. Most Complicated Interchange (Los Angeles):
The Judge Harry Pregerson Interchange is situated in Los Angeles, CA, and is one of the most complicated interchanges in the country. It permits entry and exit in all directions between the I-105 and the I-110. It's a stack interchange with layers of bridges making a complicated network of roads allowing smooth flow of traffic though both the interstate highways. This interchange was opened in 1993. It is a 4 level interchange with a restricted access lane that can be used by high-occupancy vehicles.

5. World's Most Confusing Roundabout (UK):
The Magic Roundabout in Swindon, England, was constructed in 1972 and consists of five mini-roundabouts arranged in a circle. Its name comes from a popular children's television series The Magic Roundabout. It has been voted the fourth scariest junction in Britain.

6. World's Largest Roundabout (Malaysia):
Not many people realize this when they are driving around Putrajaya, especially near the Prime Minister's office. Try to clear your mind and observe while you are driving, and you will soon realize that you are indeed driving along the potentially largest roundabout in the world. Malaysia Boleh!

The main reason people don't take note is because they tend to think it is just a hill. The circumferential length of this roundabout is approximately 3.4km, and the road that circumvents it is Persiaran Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.

7. World's Widest Street (Argentina):
July 9, 1816. Argentina's birthday. On this momentous day, Argentina gained its independence, and in commemoration of this big event the Argentines named this main street in downtown Buenos Aires, 9 de Julio. But this is not just any street. You have to see it to believe it. Nine lanes wide, with gardened medians between the opposing flow of traffic, this is the widest street in the world.

Those with a quick pace and long legs will be lucky if they get to the other side with the changing of two traffic lights that are placed at every intersection. A pedestrian crossing usually requires a few extra minutes and a few green lights. However, the inevitable stop in the center provides a great perspective of the magnitude of the street as well as the city. The street runs far in both directions and connects the unique sections of the great metropolis. Some of Buenos Aires' main landmarks can be seen along the way; most notably, the Obelisk.

8. World's Longest Street (Canada):
This distinction belongs to Yonge Street, a major arterial street running between Lake Ontario and Lake Simcoe in the Canadian province of Ontario, which is listed as a whopping 1,178 miles (1,896 km) in length -- roughly the distance from San Diego, California, to Seattle, Washington. It starts on the Toronto lakeshore and winds its way northwesterly along Highway 11 to Rainy River, Ontario, at the Minnesota border.

(Actually, The Guinness Book of World Records no longer lists Yonge as the longest street in the world, citing instead the Pan-American Highway as the world's longest "motorable road").

9. World's Steepest Street (New Zealand):
Baldwin Street, in a quiet suburban part of New Zealand's southern city of Dunedin, is reputed to be the world's steepest street. It is located in the suburb of North East Valley, 3.5 kilometres northeast of Dunedin's city centre. A short straight street of some 350 metres length, Baldwin Street runs east from the valley of the Lindsay Creek up the side of Signal Hill. Its lower reaches are of only moderate steepness, and the surface is asphalt, but the upper reaches of this cul-de-sac are far steeper, and surfaced in concrete, for ease of maintenance (tar seal would flow down the slope on a warm day) and for safety in Dunedin's frosty winters. At its maximum, the slope of Baldwin Street is approximately 1:2.86 (19° or 35%) - that is, for every 2.86 metres travelled horizontally, the elevation rises by 1 metre. The street's steepness was unintentional. As with many other parts of Dunedin, and indeed New Zealand, streets were laid out in a grid pattern with no consideration for the terrain, usually by planners in London.

10. World's Longest National Highway (Australia):
Australia's Highway 1 is a network of highways that circumnavigates the Australian continent, joining all mainland state capitals. At a total length of approximately 14,500 km (9,000 mi) it is the longest national highway in the world, along with the Trans-Siberian Highway (over 11,000 km [6,800 mi]) and the Trans-Canada Highway (8,030 km [4,990 mi]). Every day more than a million people travel on some part of it.

Amber Rose and Nicki Minaj Best Friends

Although Amber Rose and Kanye West are no longer together, this Rose isn’t moping and wilted. Amber Rose is apparently buddy buddy with none other than Nicki Minaj (who suggests that she, Kanye and Amber Rose all get together in “Monster,” from Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy – see our review here)

So what brought Amber Rose and Nicki Minaj together? According to Amber Rose, it’s because they’re both such powerful feminine figures.

“We became friends with each other because she’s such a movement,” said Amber Rose. “She’s all about girl power.”

Edmund Fitzgerald

It has been 35 years since the big ship went down in a fierce storm on Lake Superior, but the mystery of the Edmund Fitzgerald lives on.

The sinking of the ore freighter claimed 29 lives on Nov. 10, 1975, in what is considered the worst disaster in Great Lakes maritime history.

It is being marked Wednesday with a memorial service in Whitefish Point, Mich.

The sinking was the inspiration for Gordon Lightfoot's 1976 song The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald and the subject of a documentary.

But despite an investigation by the U.S. Coast Guard, the mystery of exactly why she went down in that fierce storm has never been solved. The coast guard once blamed the crew, saying they failed to fasten the hatches properly.

Members of the maritime community have said that isn't likely in light of the dangerous weather on the lake that night.

Wiz Khalifa Arrested

Wiz Khalifa was arrested on drug charges Monday night in Greenville, North Carolina, where he had just performed at East Carolina University. Officers reportedly took the rapper into custody after searching his tour bus.

On Tuesday morning (November 9), a spokesperson for the Pitt County Detention Center confirmed that Khalifa (born Cameron Thomaz), 22, was booked into the jail at around 1:30 a.m. He posted $300,000 bail and was released from detention at around 8 a.m. ET.

The "Black and Yellow" rapper was charged with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana, a felony count of maintaining a dwelling/vehicle/place for sale or storage of marijuana and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Nine other people were arrested along with Khalifa on the same charges and were still in jail at press time.

Khalifa, who was named "Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010" and recently signed a multi-album deal with Atlantic Records, was appearing on the campus as part of his Waken Baken Tour 2010. He boasted in a recent interview about a $10,000-a-month weed habit and launched his own brand of rolling papers last month.

"Smoke outs Greeneville, nc tonight. Fall thru wit ur finest plant life," he tweeted, just hours before his arrest.

Pal Curren$y posted a video purported to show police searching the bus and taking Khalifa away in handcuffs as fans scream obscenities at them. He later tweeted, "They ran on lil bruh's bus ...... I'm finna smoke this telly down in his honor ...... that's them bull chips mann .... Legalize it."

At press time, a spokesperson for the ECU police and a spokesperson for Khalifa could not be reached for comment for details about the arrest.

Lily Cole

The supermodel has shed her ginger locks and gone to the dark side.

She stepped out at Cambridge University with ther new brunette tresses covered by an orange hat.

Lily is back at the presitigious seat of learning for her third year.

Last year she flew through her History Of Art studies picking up a first, despite her work commitments.

I bet she's missing actor boyfriend ENRIQUE MURCIANO, who's currently filming in Los Angeles.

Kendra Wilkinson

No no no, you got it all wrong! It’s not like the television personality and glamour model and reality show star Kendra Wilkinson and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver hubby Hank Baskett are calling it quits. It’s just that the duo is splitting up temporarily as Kendra is shifting back to LA California while Hank has to continue travelling with his football team.

The couple is very much in love and speaking of undying love, Kendra disclosed in a recent interview with PEOPLE, that she loves to engage in those quickie lovemaking sessions between their busy and hectic schedules. “I’m all about those,” “it’s good to be spontaneous,” she said.

Kendra is very happy to be back at the West Coast but she is missing her hubby very badly at the same time. The worst part about being apart is Hank missing out on special moments (like learning to talk and walk) with the couple’s 11-month-old son Hank IV, she explained.

But love is not enough to satisfy a hungry tummy and thus daddy Hank has to do his thing. Here is wishing all the very best of luck to the lovely couple and their son.
